We can walk right past flowers, butterflies, and birds without a second glance… but the moment someone pulls out a bottle of bubbles, suddenly that’s the most exciting thing in the world. 😄

So it’s probably no surprise that Maggie and the Mysterious Noisy Bubbles was an instant favorite.

Sarah loves blowing bubbles, and her playful pup Maggie loves popping every single one. But today’s bubbles have a very unexpected surprise. Instead of a simple pop, they make animal sounds moo, neigh, oink, and quack! Together, Sarah and Maggie follow the noisy clues, counting along the way as they try to solve the silly mystery behind the barnyard bubbles.

One of my favorite details is that Maggie is inspired by Mary West’s real-life dog, who genuinely loves popping bubbles. Knowing that made the story feel even more joyful, and you can almost imagine the real Maggie happily chasing bubbles across the yard.

This is exactly the kind of book that gets children involved instead of just listening. They’ll happily shout out the animal sounds, count along, guess what comes next, and probably ask for “just one more read.”

Why you need this book

Try this at home

Head outside with a bottle of bubbles and turn it into your own guessing game. Every time your child pops a bubble, they have to make a different animal sound before popping the next one. You’ll get plenty of giggles while practicing animal names, sounds, and counting together.

Maggie and the Mysterious Noisy Bubbles is a cheerful, interactive picture book that’s perfect for little readers who love animals, bubbles, and stories that invite them to join the fun.
